The Evanston IL Artisan Summer fest is this weekend. That is June 24 and 25 of 2017. A lot of fun events will be going on but we have to explain this to you. The event is a little different than in the past.
The event takes the place of the Fountain Square Art Festival. As you may or may not know, the fountain square is being totally rebuilt at this time and is currently a construction zone. That is a different story and promises to be great for the community.
The location of the Evanston IL Artisan Summer Fest is going to be Sherman Avenue between Davis and Clark. The time are Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. There is a $5 suggested donation at the entrance but not mandatory.
Here is what the city of Evanston says about the event.
Expect something fresh and new. Exciting changes are in store as the Fountain Square Art Festival is rebranded in 2017 to emerge as the “Evanston Chamber Artisan SummerFest.”
The North Shore’s largest and oldest art fair will feature a fresh, new mix of over 100 juried, traditional and re-cycled art booths. Re-cycled art is born from artists who make eco-friendly art from recycled and found materials. Many of these artists have been showcased at Remix Chicago.
Visitors will be delighted and surprised by strolling street musicians and performers, small bites of food, and a children of all ages urban street art installation project that will be completed during the two-day event.
Please stop by for craft beer and wine tasting and a bunch of food will be offered. This will really be a fun time for everyone. I will be there and if you see me please say hi. I call this a perfect chance to take some photos and get outside.
The art work will be excellent and fun to browse.
