Evanston IL Farmers Market

We thought it time to tell you a little bit about the Evanston IL Farmers Market scene. Getting produce and crafts from locals is really the right thing to do. The popularity has gone up quite a bit in the last few years.Evanston Farmers Market

The main Farmers Market, the downtown location  in the parking lot of the Hilton Hotel opens in Early May. The exact date has not been announced yet. We will let you know as soon as we hear about it. This market is Saturdays from 7:30 AM until 1:00 PM.

Downtown Evanston Farmers’ Market

Dates: Saturdays, from early May to early November, 2018
Time: 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Intersection of University Place and Oak Ave. (just east of East Railroad Ave.)
Free parking is available in the adjacent 1800 Maple Avenue Self Park.

Fifty-eight vendors : fruits, vegetables, meat, flowers, cheese, milk, eggs and bakery items. Reusable and biodegradable bags are sold on site. LINK cards are accepted, and the Friends of Evanston Farmers Markets offers matching funds. Live animals and pets, other than service animals, are not allowed at the farmers’ market.

If you are like me and can’t wait, there is an indoor market twice a month. It starts in December and goes through until April of 2018. The indoor market is located at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 616 Lake street from 8:30 until 1:00 PM. Click on the Friends of the Evanston Farmers Markets link and find out the exact times.

Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market at the Ecology Center

Dates: Saturdays, December 2, 2017 through April 28, 2018. .(No market on Dec. 23 and 30)
